Who I Am
Hello! My name is Ari'ann Johnson, I have been in the grooming industry since February 2014. After 8 years of living someone else's dream, I took the leap of following mine! As a pet parent and mom, I know how important it is to trust someone who is caring for your loved one. My mission at Black Cat Groomery is to provide the best grooming experience your pet will ever have.
What I Do
With 3 dogs, 2 cats, a snake, and a toddler I know how life easily gets away from you. At Black Cat Groomery I provide a convenient, one-on-one spa experience for your furry friend. My completely renovated bus offers a full service grooming salon right to your driveway. No need to leave your house or drop your pet off for the day. Stay on that recliner and watch Netflix, you deserve it.

Bath

Bath services include shampoo and conditioner that fits your pet's needs, nail clipping, sanitary trim, paw pad trim, feet trimming, ear cleaning, and bow or bandana. Dogs that are shedding or double will be given a deshedding treatment.
Full Groom
$130 and up
Full Groom services includes everything in our bath service plus a customized style suited to your pet's needs.

Bath services include shampoo based on your pet's needs, ear cleaning, nail clipping, sanitary trim, paw pad shaving, brush and deshed.
Full Groom
$140 and up
Full Groom services include everything in our Bath service plus hair cut based on pet's needs.
If we cannot finish a service due to behavior you will still be charged for what has been done.
Nail Caps
$15-$25
Help minimize damage to you (and your couch!) Soft, vinyl caps come in a variety of fun colors and applied with non-toxic adhesive. Your cat will still be able to retract their claws and safely scratch their cat tree! Only available as an add-on.

Cancellation/ No Show/Consultation fee
$50
A cancellation fee will be charged if your appointment is not cancelled 24 hours prior. If you are not there upon arrival, you do not have control of your pet or I cannot get ahold of you or get , you will be charged a no-show fee. I only wait 15 minutes before moving on to my next appointment. If a groom cannot be completed due to health or behavior you will be charged a consultation fee.
Dematting
$1 a minute
I believe in humanity over vanity. I will brush out minor matting if it does not cause harm to a pet's well being. If matting is deemed unsafe, it will be shaved out. Shaving a neglected coat is considered dematting.

I recommend for the safety of all pets in our care, that your pet is up to date on all vaccines. I understand that in some cases this may not be possible. I require all pets to be current on their rabies vaccine (16 weeks and over.) In some instances I will accept a letter from your Veterinarian or titer test.
If appointment is canceled within 24 hours of your appointment time you will be charged $50 cancellation fee.
You will only need to be home for your first appointment! I offer latchkey service after your first visit. You can leave a key or a code. I do ask that your pet be contained to one room, or kennel so that I can make sure I have enough time to spend with your pet and don't need to wrangle them up.
I will brush out minor matting and charge $1 a minute for any dematting. I believe in humanity over vanity and will not brush out any extensive matting or if your pet is uncomfortable. The comfort and safety of your pet is my top priority.
I accept cash, card, and venmo payment.
I service all breeds that can I safely fit in my tub and on my table. Typically giant breeds will not fit into my tub. I do not service any dog with a history of aggression.
My base price for doodles is $170. This would be for a well maintained doodle, on a regular schedule, with a shorter hair cut. Price will change depending on size, behavior, and coat condition. I do ask all doodle breeds be on a minimum 5 week schedule to stay on my books.
My cat bath services start at $100
I do not sedate pets. In some circumstances, I may recommend pets be placed on a mild sedative from their Vet.
I do not take any pets who have a communicable disease. I will take other pre-existing conditions at my discretion. I try to limit stress while your pet is in my care but, some pets just do not like grooming. I will not take your pet if grooming will exacerbate an issue that may cause harm to your pet's health and well being.
You will be charged $15 for flea shampoo. The chemicals in flea shampoo can cause reactions in cats, therefore I will not accept cats with fleas.
I believe all pets benefit from mobile grooming. With mobile grooming I have control of the environment your pet experiences. With mobile grooming, I bring an entire grooming salon to your house. I groom one-on-one, there will be no distractions from other pets. It will be a much quieter and happy experience for your pet.
My main goal for grooming your pet is to create a relaxing and safe environment. Pets typically behave much better if their loved ones are not watching. I only allow clients to be in the bus under certain conditions before the groom but, not during the groom. Please do not knock!
I bring a fully renovated mobile salon to your location. I groom one-on-one and give a personalized experience. I use top of the line products and your pet gets a tailored service with everything they require.
Service time depends on size, behavior, dog breed, preferred hair style, and condition of coat. Typically services take 1-2 hours.
New cat customers will be first scheduled as a bath and nails only. Due to the nature of cats, I like to get to know them and their temperament before doing any shaving or detailed work. Cats can be unpredictable and have a short window of time before they are no longer tolerant o the process. This means sometimes they go home wet, unfinished, half shaved. While I always strive for perfection, I am a one woman circus and do not have help to hold your cat if needed. Cat grooming is specialized and considered a lot more dangerous than dog grooming. I do not like to shave cats unless it is for health reasons, like matting or sanitary problems. Cats need to be on a regular schedule in order to stay on my books, no longer than 6 weeks in between grooms. I will not work with any fractious or feral cats.
My grooming rig is a 15 passenger mini bus. If the roads are dangerous I will either delay appointments or reschedule! Safety is my number one priority. I do follow Bay County School closures.
